- Temperament: Socialble with all fish, except those that fit in its mouth
Discus

- Location: Amazon
- Water Chemistry: Very soft, bacteria-free, clean water with a high temperature (30C/86F)
- Size: About 20cm/8in
- Diet: Omnivorous, Invertebrates, high-quality prepared food, especially those designed for discus
- Temperament: Quiet, does not enjoy overactive tank mates, best kept in species tank
Green Terror

(Aequiens rivulatus)
- Location: Central America, Ecuador and Peru
- Water Chemistry: Not fussy, but enjoys softer clean water
- Size: Up to 25cm/10in
- Diet: Omnivorous, Invertebrates, prepared food for carnivores, will feed on smaller fish
- Temperament: Can be ill-tempered towards tank mates, territorial, can stand its ground in a large cichlid tank

- Water Chemistry: Planted soft water tank, maintain high water quality up to 29C/85F
- Size: up to 6cm/2.4in
- Diet: Invertebrates and prepared foods
- Temperament: Very peaceful in a small community tank
